Recommendations
Biaron® vitamin D 800 IU is intended for use all year round for people who are unable to provide adequate amounts of vitamin D due to insufficient exposure to sunlight* or low supply of vitamin D in the diet. The product complements the daily diet of children, adolescents and adults with vitamin D. The preparation can also be used to supplement vitamin D in premature babies, i.e. ≤32. week of pregnancy.
*In healthy children and adults exposed to sun with uncovered forearms and lower legs for at least 15 minutes from 10.00 to 15.00 without sunblock, from May to September supplementation is not necessary, although still recommended and safe1.

Vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone in children.
Vitamin D contributes to:
- the normal function of the immune system;
- the maintenance of normal muscle function;
- the maintenance of normal teeth and bones;
- normal calcium blood levels;
- normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.

Warnings
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation. Do not take more than the recommended daily intake. Do not use the dietary supplement as a substitute for a varied diet. Balanced diet and healthy lifestyle are fundamental to the proper function of the body. Before use, it is recommended to have a 25(OH) vitamin D blood test done and consult the test result with a doctor or pharmacist.
Recommended portion
from the first days of life, regardless of the feeding method*
*For these newborns, vitamin D supplementation at a dose of 800 IU should be provided from the first days of life (if enteral or oral nutrition is possible) and be monitored by controling the 25 (OH) D serum concentration.
NOTE: In the case of preterm newborns, but between 33-36 weeks of gestation, vitamin D supplementation at a dose of 400 IU is recommended from the first days of life.

Use
Administration to infants and children up to 10 years of age: grab the tip of the capsule and twist it off. Then squeeze out its content directly to the mouth or on a spoon, or add to a meal.
Children over 10 years of age and adults may swallow the entire capsule, washing it down with water.
Storage conditions
Store at 15°C – 25°C in the original packaging. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Protect from light.
